Lasers and laser systems for medicine

Areas of application: surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, stomatology, oncology, dermatology, cosmetology. Lasers and laser systems are used for wound sterilization and preventive maintenance of infections, coagulation of blood vessels and prevention of bleeding, easing of pain and psychic perception, reduction of medical treatment.

Solid-state lasers use neodimium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd:YAG) as a lasing medium and they are optically pumped. Laser systems are equipped with optical fibers and other facilities for different medicine utilization.

Parameters of lasers:

1) 0.53-1.35μm, pulse duration 0.01-103 μs, pulse energy 0.05-5 mJ;

2) 0.53 μm, pulse duration 20 ps, energy of single pulse 2 mJ or 50 mJ (with amplifier), energy of pulse train 30 mJ, pulse repetition rate 1 Hz.

Development of high-power laser systems equipped with efficient diode-pumped itterbium lasers (efficiency >15%) is possible by request.
